“I have found my head” – Young voices on creating dance – 7 February at “Folk och Kultur” in Eskilstuna

Folk och Kultur 2025 has now released its program, where we present “I have found my head” – Young voices on creating dance, together with Danscentrum Sverige, 7 FebruaryBuilding on the project “Skolan i rörelse” (School in Motion), Nordberg Movement and Danscentrum Sverige invite participating young people to a conversation where the art of dance is in focus.

The project has given young people the opportunity to see dance, meet professional choreographers, learn about their practice, gain a deeper understanding, and be inspired to create their own choreography. The conversation will be based on their perspectives, with questions related to how and in what way the creation of dance art makes sense for young people today and in the future.Present are Gr8 Ones, Danscentrum Syd, and IVER/Malmö Dance Week. The conversation will be led by four young project participants from Malmö.

The project is initiated by Nordberg Movement and funded by Kulturrådet / The Swedish Arts Council.Location: Kugghjulet, Hotel Bolinder Munktell, Eskilstuna Date/time: 7 February,  Friday, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. For more information (swedish)  and tickets
