‘And So We’re Gone’ Björn Säfsten’s new work premieres at Dansens Hus 26-28 October

Ingenious maths, existential march and nostalgic intensities are set in motion in choreographer Björn Säfsten’s new work for four dancers at Elverket.’ And so we’re gone is a meditation, a choreography about emptiness, created out of a sense of frustration and nostalgia towards the ongoing. The work presents four people walking, marching, and strolling through an evolving pattern. They walk concurrently and at the same pace, yet they never really meet. They appear similar to each other since they walk along similar paths. At the same time, their respective variations create intricate patterns, constellations, and formations, which turn into different geometries, rituals, and choreographies. Here, a complex mathematical system emerges, and eventually, other images, like memories, or perhaps fantasies, or pieces of a lost life? With Madeleine Lindh, Jade Stenhuijs, Philip Berlin, Pär Andersson. Music by Hans Appelqvist, light by Susanne Hedin and costume by Daniel Åkerström-Steen Opening October 26-28th 2023 at Dansens Hus, Stockholm You can find more information and tickets HERE
