José Navas/Compagnie Flak presents AVES at festival Danse Danse in Montreal, October 22-26

From October 22 to 26, 2024, festival Danse Danse will present José Navas/Compagnie Flak and AVES at Cinquième salle at Place des Arts in Montreal as part of the 2024-2025 season.

Compagnie Flak will be reunited with its Montreal audience, following the recent success of this solo in Germany, Belgium and Australia. This luminous work, choreographed and performed by José Navas, was awarded the Prix RIDEAU / Maisons de la culture 2023.

Dancing his life on stage, choreographer and dancer José Navas opens his heart and soul as he shares memories of his late partner, William Douglas. AVES is a luminous and touching homage set to the music of James Brown, Bach, PJ Harvey, Billie Holliday, Dorothy Moore and Erik Satie.
