Nordberg Movement is an agency for the performing arts in Stockholm, Sweden, focusing on dance. Our services include representation, development, production, coaching, consulting and strategic planning.
Founded by Magnus Nordberg in 2011, Nordberg Movement operates out of its office at Sveavägen 140 in Stockholm, Sweden. Nordberg Movement supports the ongoing development of new and established voices in dance and choreography. We connect new and finished works and projects with collaborators, presenters and festivals. We offer offer guidance, support and infrastructure for companies, independent artists, constellations and festivals. Our activities include daily work for a curated and select roster of artists, plus an array of industry-oriented initiatives.

For artists and makers
We offer the possibility of introductory coaching if you wish to collaborate with us and do not know the office or our team yet. This introduction allows both parties to get to know each other before possibly delving into a longer relationship. Details and contents are discussed in a one-hour start-up meeting. History
Nordberg Movement was founded in 2011 with a drive to accommodate the needs of production, representation, and daily operations for a smaller group of artists. During the course of the company, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with a vast group of producers, artists, companies, and venues.
On the artist side, our earlier collaborations have included Andersson Dance/choreographer Örjan Andersson (2011-2022), Elle Sofe Sara (2022-2024), Shake it Collaborations (2017-2022), Convoi Exceptionnel (2021-2023), Weld and Weld Company (2011-2020), Quarto (2017-2022) and Hagar Malin Hellkvist Sellén (2011-2017).

Skolan i rörelse 2024 – School in Movement
A project aiming at a first look at developing methods for working creatively with dance and choreography in school for the ages of 13-17, funded by the Swedish Arts Council/Kulturrådet.
Fringe Fragments 2024
Co-presentation of Swedish and UK artists at DanceBase during Edinburgh Fringe 2024.
Music and Movement Management
Our project “Music and Movement Management” encompasses 17 unique artists (concluded on June 30, 2023). The 2-year project offered us the possibility to engage and work with Ann Rosén, Maria W Horn, Daniel Karlsson, Jukka Rintamäki, Aurelia Dey, Sindri Runudde, Maria Naidu, Joanna Holewa Chrona, BamBam Frost, Johanssons Pelargoner & Dans, Axel “Jaded Jane” Olsson, Lisa Ullén, VAZ, Mari Carrasco, OR/ELLER, Robin Jonsson, and Anna Öberg.
I Rörelse
2020-2023, the office was leading the project “I Rörelse”, which focused on education and coaching for the independent dance field. A podcast, “Ett steg fram”, found here, with six episodes, was created during the project.
Showcases in the US and Canada
Collaborations include: “In the Works”, with Meredith Boggia Productions at La MaMa in New York, presentations at The Chocolate Factory, New York, and a four-part collaboration with showcases during OFF-CINARS in Montréal with Studio Flak (CA), Nordberg Movement, Illimité Agency (SE), Art Circulation (CA), and FÔVE diffusion (CA) 2022.
